About Founder Michael Castanon
Our founder and CEO is California entrepreneur Michael Castanon. Through his work to found Alter Health, BeWellLine, Mindfuli, and Dana Point Rehab Campus, Michael continues to work to improve access to mental and emotional health care options for Californians. With an overarching desire to help, he has tested and built some of the most innovative new care models. As a digital health entrepreneur, Michael is bringing both virtual and on-site care improvements to life.

At Dana Point Rehab Campus, we understand that drug and alcohol addictions are not driven by a singular issue or disorder. Instead, multiple problems can compile or conflict with one another, driving someone to alcoholism or drug addiction that destroys other aspects of their life. With this in knowledge in center focus, we have designed our specialized program in a way that addresses all aspects of human nature that contribute to alcoholism and drug addiction in order to reach lifelong sobriety
Michael Castanon: Facing America’s Addiction Crisis Head-On
According to the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University, a 2013 survey revealed that at least 16% of all Americans aged 12 or older had some form of drug, alcohol, or nicotine addiction. Only an estimated 10% of those people ever seek treatment, and only an assumedly small margin of that small percent of people receive effective treatment. In other words, approximately 15% of the population requires addiction treatment and care but never receive it properly. Michael wants to change that.
Due to the lack of a solid foundation of addiction treatment research, our team at Dana Point Rehab Campus has rooted our treatments in therapies that can provide clear research and learning opportunities for all of those involved. It is our hope to stand up to the addiction crisis gripping the country through carefully constructed and comprehensive programs, each tailored to the individual.
